Dedicated to my son GARY WILSON  who suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and died on October 23, 1980 at the age of 17, and to the children who survive him.   They are the future.
.I also wish to express my sincere thanks to those individuals and groups who supported me both morally and financially during the preparation of this book.

The Volunteers at the UAC's must top the list as  they have been an inspiration to me.   This is their book as much as mine.
