The side effects of unemployment has claimed countless victims.   Increased unemployment is a "Utopia" for profiteers who easily justify their actions  with  the use of  words such as "equal opportunity."   The following chapter deals with that.

While socializing over the Xmas holidays I was inadvertantly part fo a converstion that birth to "The Spirit of '84".

Two guests were discusssing the  a piece of investment property that one was interested in acquiring.   The casual way they were discussing the victims finances and the fact that he had just suffered a stroke  and making it possible to strilke an even better bargain confirmed what many already suspect.    The best deals are made in the  worst of economic times.

I've deliberately left out my contribution to the conversation in the interest of censorship.

Xmas is coming and the boss is getting fat

She made a hefty profit

But she's not content with that

Lay off 50 workers

Just pick them from a hat

Loyalty is out of date

Restraint is where its at

New year is coming

And the plant is undermanned

Have to get replacements

For the 50 that  she canned

She'll pick and choose and hire the ones

Who'll work for half the price

They're desparate to get a job

Free Enterprise is nice

.The subject of Pornogrophy while not derectly related to the work of the UAC's  on a daily basis, does crop up frequently.

Poor Ann Ogrophy deals with pornogrophy  from a business standpoint.  As long as there is money to be made women an children will be exploited .   Statistics show that violence against women increases with High unemployment.

Poor Ann Ogrophy, everyone has views

It was never her intention to humiliate and shame

Don't scream and shout, but hear me out before you lay the blame

Poor Ann Ogrophy was soft, she was such a tease

She posed in filmy negilgees high above her knees

Erotic and enicing, enjoyed by lovers all

She graced a lot of bedrooms before her curtain call

The years they took their toll on her making her hardcore

She found herself in bondage by those who wanted more

They sold her into slavery while laughing at her fears

They used her and abused her, the bunisness profiteers

They whipped her and they chained her till passion turned to pain

And then they took her children and made them play the game

Sshe couldn't bear to witness it, and so for death she cried

They gave her what she wanted and they filmed her as she died

So when you march in protest remember who's to blame

It isn't Poor Ann Ogrophy, that is just a name

For a billion dollar business where profit rules supreme

And each consumer plays a part in their sadistic scheme

Take Heed

And so the fight continues

Our stryuggle year by year

Victory's ahead of us!

Too late for some I fear

Perhaps you know the victims

Trampled 'neath the dust

Of political immorality

And laws that are unjust

We have a just society

The power brokers say

And must maintain the balance

Thge Multinational way

Investors need assurances

And political guarantees

That you and I will come to them

On out bended knees

And beg to be exploited

To keep their profits high

And oh so many workers

Head their battle cry

An International Affairs course I attended was the spark that ignited this flame.

Peopel are being fooled into believeing that the cost of labour is the reason for inflation.   It's just no so.

The next time you go shopping compare for example the price of a pair of blue jeans made here by workers being paid fair wages to the same quality jeans being made by

workers in a foreign country , who are being paid pennies and hour.   You may be surprised to find out that there is very little difference in the cost to you.   the manufacturer simply pockets the difference in wages.  It's entirely possible that he closed down his plant here, laying off many workers of which you could be one, to move to the foreign soil.

I seems the Government is trying to entice thiese people back  and is offering "union busiting" legislation as a carrot.   When that happens, you wont pay less for the goods, but as an employee with less disposable income you wiont be able to afford to buy the  goods.
